Nu-Way Weiners: A Local Hot Dog Haven in Macon, GA

Very clean and inviting place! Justina was very helpful to me as it was my first time here! Love her - she is outstanding! Wow - amazing hot dogs!! The staff all were smiling and were very nice to me. I definitely will come back - I hear the breakfast is good also as well as the burgers. Great Experience!

This was my first time ever trying this hot dog spot. I walked in the store and was immediately greeted, not enthusiastically but still greeted so that’s a win. I believe there were 3 tables occupied and 2 to go orders that came in right after me. I took a minute to look over the menu and asked a couple questions. I decided to try the originals all the way , the cheese dogs all the way and a fry. I was surprised how fast the service was. Within 3 minutes I’d say. So I got back out to my vehicle and dug into the fries, since we all know fries don’t travel well. The fries surprisingly were great. Well cooked and tasty, although I did add a salt packet. The dogs. I’ll start with the cheese dog. The cheese added absolutely no taste to the overall dog. The chili I guess was par, the bun was soft, and the actual dog was red, which surprised me, but tasted again , par. The original dog was the same just without tasteless cheese sauce. The prices are pretty good for the food you get so no complaints there. The fries were the star of my meal though and I really hoped it was going to be the dogs. The actual customer service was fine. Nobody was rude or condescending as some of the other reviews mentioned. I don’t know if I’ll be back. Maybe if I’m really jonesing for a quick dog.

My husband and his family love the place. They've been eating it for years. I've tried it prior to becoming vegan. They don't have any good choices for me, so I probably will not be going back.

Its exactly what you expect. Local joint with 3 locations. It's like a small town hotdogs hut, but the hotdogs are in a red casing. They taste normal though. Cute historic acalade decorations adorn the walls. Decent amount of seating for the small space. Restrooms available upon request. Dessert includes a chocolate malt and an apple turnover. Large drink sizes. Not a lot of onion rings but decent amount of tater Tots (tater rounds). Breakfast until 11am. Plenty of parking, and there is a drive thru. We went inside and were served in a few minutes.

Ok...so, I reviewed the Baconsfield location earlier today. It was so good that we decided to try Nu Way again for dinner...this time the Northside Drive location. This is in no way a slight towards the downtown Nu Way, but the Northside Drive location gets 10 out of 5 stars their rating...100 out of 5...Super hot and fresh food, large dining area, and friendly atmosphere. The chilli cheese dog was so delicious , crispy but soft fries, and onion rings like nowhere else. All the way around, this location is amazing, a must try if you haven't already.
